A Bit of Thanks Giving Before Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I suppose it's fitting that I devote at least some of this post to the muses that have aided me in my creative experimentation. Dresses are inspired by simple things: a colour that enchants my eyes, a friend wearing a flattering cut, a flower on a tree. It can become overwhelming at points and I need to pour it all out. Happily I have several people whom I can just show up and say, "Hey try this." or "You're going to wear this." and they love it. I can try out all kinds of designs and find that my craziness was actually genius. Thank you.

That being said here are the experiments for this month:

My friend Deanna was crowned Queen for a local dance chapter. I was in charge of wardrobe. The happiness in her eyes tells you how that went.

I had to take another trip back in time for this lovely lady who wanted to recapture the 1920's. I've been doing a few of those lately...

I had to tame a tigress for this one. She was mostly cooperative on the second try. I dislike animal prints. I must say, however, after making this dress, tiger print may have warmed my heart a little.

Kudos to Hannah Murray on the lovely stoning.

And finally the dress that took me a month to complete (mostly due to lack of time and procrastination, but I digress). I said I would do a cage-type dress like Tatiana Seliverstone and finally it is here; granted a little more fabric. Might have to try this again. This is definitely my new favorite.

Happy Thanksgiving! But mostly Happy dancing!
