Amethyst Leopards, Sapphire Mists and Blue Spinel

I came across an amethyst leopard. It hung out in a drawer for several years. It took some coaxing to draw it out. The results are actually very nice.

My fascination, bordering on obsession, with blue got the best of me that week too. I've realized, upon checking my inventory, that at least 7 of my 10 or so Smooth dresses are blue! I promptly banned myself from making anything blue until I diversify the spectrum a little bit more. Then two seconds later I thought: "It would be soo awesome to do a mesh dress! It should be blue."

Then, one of my friends pointed out a cool black and white draper dress from a video. It actually was the dress that had inspired the Elements collection at the beginning of all my dressmaking. I'm still in love with the design, but not really an achromatic colour fan. So why not make it blue spinel and white? What an awesome combination, and I have nothing navy blue yet...
