Every artist has them: projects you start with exceptional zeal, lose interest in half way and toss into the Projects Half Done Bin. Sometimes you never get back to them. Other times: you finally come up with an idea of how to finish, overcome the laziness that may have prevented you from finishing or find yourself stuck in an artistic desert and just for the sake of feeling creative, productive and accomplished you go back to that bin, pull something out and complete it.
This dress has been complaining from the Bin for at least four years. It was one of my very first, when I had just learned to do the godet paneled skirt. I was 100% going to complete it until I fashioned the stoning pattern. Stoning is not my favorite activity, even though the results are gorgeous. I will procrastinate as long as possible when it comes to stoning a dress, as this case makes very evident.
Checking my rhinestone stash recently I realised that I had all the stones I needed for this dress. Well, there went my last excuse for not getting it done. Some 8 hours and several horror movies later:
However I think I hear another dress complaining from the bin...
